Playing Facade
Try 1: didn't last long because I was more interested in exploring and picking up things and trying to get myself a drink, going in the kitchen trying to open cupboards, trying to go in the bedroom... So, I wasn't talking at all and of course I got kicked out because Trip said "we don't need you".
Try 2: Because I wanted to know how to fix myself a drink like on the youtube video, I participated this time trying to keep up with the conversation. What really annoyed me was that no one wanted to fix me a drink. I kept asking "I can have a drink?". Then I begged "Please". No one paid any attention. So I thought maybe i had to use their names. "Grace, please can I have a drink?"
But Grace thought I was complimenting her...which I found weird. "DRINK DRINK DRINK!", "Martini?", "Whiskey?"...I was damn desperate for a drink. But Trip and Grace were more into their argument. Eventually, I got kicked out again because I wasn't participating in the way they wanted me to.
Try 3: This time I played along. I even learnt that I was the one who introduced them 10 yrs ago. The game lasted a bit longer. God knows what happened, Grace left for the kitchen. Then no one would answer my question "What happened?", "Anything I said?", "Shall I leave?". I really thought this game was about interaction, but I too soon realised that the game played itself its own way. Trip asked me about this woman at work(yeah I was playing a guy for a change), and when I replied "She's into painting", Grace jumped into the conversation saying thank you, she decorated the apartment herself and on and on which again was completely detached to what I was talking about. I didn't much like the drama about Trip and his parents or her parents, honestly I couldn't care less anymore. I don't need more drama in my life and what the hell!? I never even got a drink!
So I'm sorry to say that I didn't enjoy this game. Maybe because we've talked about it in class and how popular this game is. I guess I had high expectations(which is never good).
